The Pro-Line Trak-Ball Controller (CX53) was release by Atari for the Atari 5200. Offering trackball control for 360-degree movement, instead of a joystick, it was used primarily for games to 'bring home arcade action'.

The Trak-Ball Controller featured two number pads and two sets of auxiliary and fire buttons. Despite only having one trackball, it was possible to use it in most two-player games with the players taking it in turns.
